About the Role
BBC Media Action is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager (Partnerships) to join our team in Nigeria. You will play a crucial role in managing an ongoing multi-component Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programme focused on reproductive health and family planning in Northern Nigeria. This position centers on bringing together implementing partners, government stakeholders, and community actors to ensure all project activities are seamlessly coordinated, compliant, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day relationships with implementing partners, government stakeholders, and key community actors.
- Maintain an overview of partner workplans, tracking progress against agreed deliverables and timelines.
- Identify delivery risks or gaps early and collaborate with the Project Director to resolve them promptly.
- Monitor partnership performance and ensure full compliance with BBC Media Action and donor requirements, including safeguarding and data protection.
- Coordinate partner inputs for comprehensive project reporting, donor updates, and internal learning reviews.
- Strong project management expertise, including workplanning, risk identification, and timeline tracking.
- Significant experience managing partnerships and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects within development, media, public health, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with government agencies and community organizations in Nigeria.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to hold partners accountable.
- Fluency in English and Hausa, alongside a strong understanding of the Northern Nigeria media and development landscape.
