About the Role

Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA) is a pioneering financial sector development organization that promotes inclusive financial systems in Nigeria. Funded by the UK Government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we focus on four strategic pillars: Research, Innovation, Advocacy, and Capacity Building. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager, PMO to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will support the effective coordination, management, and successful delivery of the Financial Inclusion Mainstreaming Project, driving initiatives that expand economic opportunities across the nation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, PMO, you will oversee end-to-end project execution and stakeholder engagement. Your core duties will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day coordination, planning, and implementation of the Financial Inclusion Mainstreaming Project.
  • Monitoring project milestones, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Facilitating effective communication between internal teams, government agencies, financial service providers, and key stakeholders.
  • Preparing comprehensive project reports, impact assessments, and documentation for the PMO and senior leadership.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies to ensure seamless operational delivery.
Qualifications

To be successful in this impactful role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of professional experience in development finance, management consulting, government relations, policy analysis, or financial services.
  • Recognized project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities tailored for diverse stakeholder groups.
