About the Role
Pioneers Reproductive Health and Youth Association (PREHYA), a leading non-governmental organization registered in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Manager to drive our community-based interventions. In this vital role, you will champion our mission to improve the health, education, and socio-economic well-being of youth, women, and vulnerable families across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the comprehensive planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with donor requirements, particularly ECHO guidelines, and internal organizational policies.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Officer to manage project budgets efficiently and transparently.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide ongoing technical support to project staff.
- Coordinate seamlessly with government agencies, humanitarian partners, sector clusters, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate donor reports and thorough project documentation.
- Monitor overall project performance against established targets, key indicators, and deliverables.
- Champion safeguarding, accountability, and protection mainstreaming across all implemented project activities.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement robust mitigation measures.
- Represent PREHYA professionally in relevant coordination meetings, stakeholder forums, and networking events.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; a Master's degree is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management within the non-profit or NGO sector in Nigeria.
- Proven expertise in managing donor-funded projects, with specific, demonstrable experience meeting ECHO compliance and reporting standards.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of effective budget management.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
