About the Role
Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, Nigeria, is the largest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, dedicated to bridging the electricity demand gap across the nation. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Engineer to provide robust technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects. In this role, you will coordinate project activities, manage schedules, ensure stringent compliance with engineering standards, and drive successful project delivery from inception to closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and monitor assigned capital projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to integrate client requirements into daily field engineering activities.
- Organize stakeholder meetings, document action items, and establish effective communication channels.
- Ensure full project compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct critical path analysis, earned value analysis, and prepare detailed status reports.
- Lead change request activities and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Manage project closeout reporting, customer satisfaction, and data protection compliance including NDPR guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project management within a technical environment.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly advantageous.
- HSE training certifications will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
