About the Role

Egbin Power Plc, the largest thermal power generating station in Sub-Saharan Africa located in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of multidisciplinary capital projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project delivery while upholding the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and communication frameworks to monitor progress and milestones.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and integrate client requirements into field operations.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, earned value analysis, and rigorous risk assessments for assigned projects.
  • Ensure strict compliance with engineering codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, lead change request activities, and drive customer satisfaction to successful project closeout.
  • Maintain full awareness and compliance with HSE policies, Integrated Management Systems, and NDPR data protection regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on project engineering and management experience within a technical environment.
  • Relevant Project Management and HSE training certifications are strong added advantages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering standards, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
