Gemameg Company Nigeria Limited is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to support various construction, civil engineering, and site development projects. Key Responsibilities- Safely operate hydraulic excavators, including 360-degree units, for excavation, grading, trenching, and demolition tasks.
- Clear land, dig building foundations, and excavate precise trenches for utility pipes and cables.
- Conduct thorough pre-operational daily inspections, check fluid levels, and perform basic maintenance to prevent equipment malfunctions.
- Load, move, and lift heavy materials such as dirt, rocks, and debris with high precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints and survey markers to ensure accurate digging depths, slopes, and locations.
- Coordinate seamlessly with ground crews, signalers, and site supervisors to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of proven experience operating excavators and similar heavy machinery.
- Proficient understanding of hydraulic equipment functionality and basic mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity with GPS and laser-guided systems for precision excavation work.
- Strong manual dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination, and physical stamina for extended operation periods.
