About the Role
Iconic Open University, a leading NUC-licensed private open and distance learning institution in Nigeria, is currently seeking qualified senior academics to join our esteemed faculty as Project Co-Supervisors in Health Information Management. In this crucial role, you will guide both undergraduate and postgraduate students through their research projects, ensuring that our rigorous academic standards and commitment to integrity are consistently upheld within our innovative digital learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects in Health Information Management.
- Evaluate and grade research proposals, dissertations, and final project reports with objective academic rigor.
- Provide constructive mentorship and guidance to students throughout their research lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal faculty to ensure alignment with the university's academic policies and ODL best practices.
- Participate in virtual due-diligence interactions and evaluation processes as required by the Senate.
- Must hold a minimum of a Ph.D. in Health Information Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Must currently hold the academic rank of Senior Lecturer, Reader, or Professor.
- Demonstrated track record of postgraduate supervision and robust research publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals within the last three years.
- Prior experience working within an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) environment is a distinct advantage.
- Strict adherence to conflict-of-interest guidelines, including no recent employment or close personal relationships with university staff.
