About the Role
Iconic Open University, a leading NUC-licensed private open and distance learning institution in Nigeria, is seeking qualified senior academics to join our academic network as Project Co-Supervisors. In this vital role, you will uphold our commitment to academic excellence by guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in Computer, Information Technology, and Software Engineering through their research projects within a flexible learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Engineering.
- Provide rigorous academic guidance, mentorship, and timely feedback to students.
- Evaluate project reports and dissertations in accordance with university standards and NUC guidelines.
- Ensure academic integrity and adherence to institutional research policies.
- Participate in virtual review processes and Senate-approved assessment procedures.
- Minimum academic rank of Senior Lecturer (Readers and Professors preferred for postgraduate supervision).
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven track record of relevant research publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals within the last three years.
- Demonstrated experience in postgraduate research supervision.
- Prior experience in an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) environment is a strong advantage.
- Must have no conflicts of interest, such as recent employment or close personal ties with the university.
