About the Role
Iconic Open University, a leading National Universities Commission (NUC) licensed private open and distance learning institution in Nigeria, is seeking suitably qualified senior academics to serve as Project Co-Supervisors (Community Health). In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of academic quality, integrity, and excellence across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects in Community Health.
- Provide rigorous academic guidance and mentorship to students within an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) framework.
- Evaluate research methodologies, data analysis, and thesis quality in adherence to university guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal faculty to ensure timely feedback and assessment of student projects.
- Maintain academic integrity and uphold institutional research standards throughout the supervision process.
- Must hold a Ph.D. in Community Health or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Must currently hold the academic rank of Senior Lecturer, Reader, or Professor.
- Demonstrated track record of postgraduate supervision and recent research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Prior experience working within an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) environment is a strong advantage.
- Must have no conflicts of interest, including recent employment with Iconic Open University or close personal/professional ties to current staff or students.
