About the Role
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Programme Analyst for Affirmative Procurement (NPSA 8, PSA) to join our team in Nigeria and drive impactful economic empowerment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Act as project officer for the national component of the Women’s Economic Empowerment through Affirmative Finance in West Africa project.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to institutional partners and women-led SMEs.
- Manage financial resources, monitor project progress, and draft comprehensive monitoring and donor reports.
- Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies and implementation of Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships, support resource mobilization, and coordinate with inter-agency stakeholders to achieve programme coherence.
- Master’s degree in social sciences, human rights, gender studies, international development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in development programme implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- In-depth knowledge of gender/public procurement procedures and women's entrepreneurship in West Africa.
- Strong skills in Results Based Management, budget tracking, and donor reporting.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
