About the Role
Evidence Action is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Field Operations, MLE for the West and Central Africa sub-region (Nigeria, Liberia, and Cameroon). In this pivotal one-year contract role, you will oversee program research, coordinate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) support, and manage data collection systems to ensure high standards of data quality across impactful public health and development programs.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate comprehensive, cost-efficient MLE activities aligned with regional program goals.
- Manage country teams and resources to achieve quantitative and qualitative data collection objectives using tools like SurveyCTO.
- Oversee annual MLE team work plans, budgets, staff recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, implementing partners, and strategic M&E vendors to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct site visits to monitor implementation and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Master's degree in public health, development economics, statistics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of M&E program experience in West and Central Africa, with at least 4 years managing large data collection teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written English and French is a key requirement.
- Demonstrated experience using electronic data collection platforms, particularly SurveyCTO.
- Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and cross-cultural communication skills with a willingness to travel regionally.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in Nigeria or Cameroon without visa sponsorship.
