Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic leadership in the Department of Software Engineering by designing and delivering innovative undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
  • Conduct high-impact research, secure research grants, and publish extensively in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Mentor junior academic staff and foster a culture of professional growth and scholarly excellence within the faculty.
  • Engage in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, including curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance practical learning and technological innovation.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a PhD in Software Engineering or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of active service as an Associate Professor.
  • Must possess at least 25 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 5 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
  • Demonstrable high-level ICT proficiency and active membership in relevant professional bodies.
  • Possession of a mandatory NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
  • Exemplary track record of teaching, academic leadership, and community engagement.
