Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Software Engineering and the broader Faculty of Computing.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including PhD candidates.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish extensively in reputable, peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Design, review, and update curriculum to meet current global software engineering industry standards and NUC requirements.
- Secure research grants, foster industry partnerships, and drive community development initiatives.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees to advance the strategic goals of the institution.
- Must possess a PhD in Software Engineering or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership with a substantial portfolio of peer-reviewed publications.
- Proven track record in successful postgraduate supervision and grant-attraction.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven pedagogy with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current professional IT registration and valid practicing licences where applicable.
