Wellspring University, a prestigious institution founded on sound Christian principles and ethics, is currently seeking a qualified and dynamic academic leader to fill the position of Associate Professor of Human Anatomy within our esteemed College of Medicine. Located in Benin City, Edo State, our institution is dedicated to moulding well-rounded scholars equipped with intellectual prowess and moral strength to drive national and global development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality academic instruction and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in Human Anatomy.
- Lead innovative research initiatives, secure research grants, and maintain a robust publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research dissertations and theses.
- Provide visionary academic leadership within the Department of Human Anatomy and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community service engagements.
- Ensure compliance with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and institutional quality assurance frameworks.
- Must possess a PhD in Human Anatomy or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching, lecturing, and research experience.
- Demonstrated strong record of peer-reviewed academic publications in high-impact journals.
- Proven capacity and experience in postgraduate teaching, mentorship, and thesis supervision.
- Evident track record of academic leadership, administrative capability, and service to the university community.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern digital pedagogy and research.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, alongside current professional registrations and valid practising licences where applicable.
