The Federal University of Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academic leaders for the position of Professor of Radiology within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals, driving innovative radiological research, and contributing to the strategic growth of our College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Radiology and the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate medical students as well as postgraduate candidates at Masters and PhD levels.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in radiology and publish significant findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Design, review, and update curriculum content to meet contemporary global standards in medical education and practice.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, senate duties, and community service initiatives.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor of Radiology or be an equivalent senior academic.
- Possess a robust academic portfolio with a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications.
- Must have at least sixteen (16) publications in print, including a minimum of four (4) papers published in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful academic supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master's degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Possession of relevant medical qualifications and current registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
