As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing teaching excellence, research productivity, and academic leadership within the Department. You will report to the Head of Department and collaborate with colleagues across faculties to deliver high-quality, globally competitive education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
  • Develop innovative curricula and course materials suitable for multiple learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to enhance teaching methodologies and expand the department’s knowledge base.
  • Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Conduct impactful research, and author papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
  • Participate actively in meetings, conferences, and academic events within and outside the university.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students and colleagues.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuous reading and publishing.

Qualifications
  • Must hold the rank of Reader with a Ph.D. in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 12 years’ verifiable experience in teaching, research, and administration within a university setting.
  • A strong record of publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Active affiliation with a recognized professional body.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
