About the Role
The Federal University of Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic scholars for the esteemed position of Professor of Quantity Surveying within the Faculty of Environmental Design. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering groundbreaking research in Nigeria. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the academic curriculum, mentoring the next generation of built environment professionals, and contributing significantly to the university's growing academic profile.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and community service within the Department of Quantity Surveying.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research, ensuring high academic standards and successful completions.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement within the Faculty of Environmental Design.
- Publish high-impact research in reputable national and international journals to advance the department's academic standing.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties as assigned.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.
- Possess a robust publication record of at least twenty (20) scholarly publications, with sixteen (16) in print.
- Must have at least four (4) publications featured in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Master's degrees and one (1) PhD degree to completion.
