About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a dynamic and rapidly growing institution established in 2011, is seeking an accomplished academic leader to join our esteemed faculty. We are looking for a dedicated Professor in Procurement Management within the Faculty of Management Sciences to spearhead cutting-edge research, elevate the quality of our academic programmes, and contribute significantly to institutional growth in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Procurement Management and the wider Faculty of Management Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students to achieve academic excellence.
- Supervise postgraduate students, ensuring successful completion of Master and PhD degrees.
- Drive innovative research initiatives and publish high-impact scholarly articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Procurement Management or a closely related discipline.
- Must possess a robust academic publishing record of at least twenty (20) publications, with sixteen (16) in print, out of which four (4) must appear in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign indexed journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills suited for a university environment.
