Funtua Capital School, a reputable private educational institution located in Unguwar Magajin, Makera Ward, Funtua Local Government Area, Katsina State, is seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Teacher to join our esteemed academic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping young minds, fostering a love for literature and language, and helping students achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to improve language proficiency.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere for all students.
- Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular school activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
- Possess a relevant academic qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.A. (Ed) in English, or a BA in English Language with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Proven teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students and foster critical thinking and creativity.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Funtua, Katsina State, is required.
