The Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and accomplished academic leaders to apply for the position of Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology within our prestigious Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to top-tier university education and pioneering impactful research in Nigeria. We are looking for an exceptional scholar dedicated to shaping the next generation of pharmacists, advancing pharmaceutical innovations, and contributing to the vibrant academic community in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Engage in high-impact teaching, curriculum development, and mentorship for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects, guiding candidates through Master's and PhD degree completion.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish extensively in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and secure research grants.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees to drive institutional growth and academic excellence.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate a robust publication record with a minimum of 20 publications, including 16 in print, with at least 4 featured in three or more different, regularly published foreign index journals.
- Provide verifiable evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master's degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Possess a strong track record of academic leadership, teaching excellence, and community service.
