As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the academic growth of our dynamic university community in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Faculty of Nursing Science by designing and delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
- Engage in cutting-edge academic research and maintain an active publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise postgraduate students to the successful completion of their Master's and PhD degree programmes.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Mentor junior academic staff and foster a culture of research excellence and ethical professional practice.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or demonstrate equivalent distinguished academic standing in Nursing Science.
- Possess a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with at least sixteen (16) in print.
- Must have at least four (4) publications featured in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign indexed journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master's degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Strong interpersonal, administrative, and leadership skills suited for a top-tier Nigerian tertiary institution.
