Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and community service within the Department of Microbiology.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in microbiology and related disciplines.
- Design, update, and implement innovative curricula that align with global academic standards and industry needs.
- Secure research grants, lead multidisciplinary research initiatives, and publish high-impact scholarly articles in reputable journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to institutional governance and quality assurance.
- Foster strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, research institutes, and professional bodies.
- Hold a PhD in Microbiology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of active academic experience as an Associate Professor.
- Possess a robust research portfolio with at least 25 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 5 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrate high-level ICT proficiency for digital pedagogy and research data analysis.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies is compulsory.
- Possession of a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is strictly required.
