In this academic role within the Faculty of Allied Health Science, you will play a vital part in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering engaging instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical training in Health Information Management to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with modern educational standards.
- Supervise student research projects, academic assignments, and field practicals.
- Engage in continuous academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their professional development.
- Possession of a Master’s Degree in Health Information Management or a closely related relevant field.
- Must provide verifiable evidence of active PhD registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have at least 2 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable academic outlets.
- Demonstrable ICT proficiency and competence in digital learning tools.
- Relevant professional body membership is strictly required.
- Mandatory possession of an NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
