Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Professor of Microbiology, you will play a pivotal role in curriculum development, teaching, and institutional growth. Your core duties will include:
- Providing strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Microbiology.
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students using modern, engaging pedagogical methods.
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, including master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
- Conducting groundbreaking research and publishing high-impact papers in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Securing research grants and fostering collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders and global academic institutions.
- Mentoring early-career faculty members and participating in departmental and university-wide committees.
To be considered for this prestigious professorial role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Ph.D. with a strict specialization in Microbiology from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Exhibit a robust and verifiable track record of academic leadership, administrative competence, and student mentorship.
- Have a substantial portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in reputable local and international journals.
