Federal University Lafia is seeking a distinguished academic to join our esteemed institution as a Professor of Medical Biochemistry within the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Medical Biochemistry within the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Masters and PhD candidates.
- Conduct high-impact, cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable local and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Design, evaluate, and update curriculum content to meet global standards in medical biochemistry and allied health sciences.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Medical Biochemistry or a closely related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with sixteen (16) in print, including at least four (4) papers published in distinct and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Strong leadership, administrative capacity, and a proven track record of academic excellence.
