As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, and advancing research initiatives that align with the University's commitment to academic excellence and innovation. You will report to the Head of Department and work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to enhance curriculum design and research output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars in Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Develop and update curricula and course materials suitable for multiple learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with fellow academics to enhance teaching methodologies and expand the department's knowledge base.
  • Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Conduct original research, and author papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
  • Participate actively in meetings, conferences, and events within and outside the University.
  • Engage in professional development and training initiatives offered by the institution.
  • Provide academic mentorship and support to students and colleagues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in the field through continuous learning and publication.

Qualifications
  • Must hold the rank of Reader with a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years' verifiable experience in university teaching, research, and academic administration.
  • Demonstrated record of substantial publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proven experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Active affiliation with a recognized professional body.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
