Vision University, a newly established, private, faith-based institution located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a visionary and accomplished Professor of Mathematics to join our esteemed faculty. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic rigor, integrity, and spiritual development. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our nascent mathematics department, driving innovative research, and mentoring the next generation of scholars in an inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary academic and administrative leadership for the Department of Mathematics.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, delivering engaging and high-quality lectures.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable local and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to faculty development and curriculum enhancement.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, as well as community engagement initiatives.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related specialization from a recognized university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Exhibit a robust portfolio of relevant publications in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Proven track record of effective academic leadership, administration, and student mentoring.
- Familiarity with NUC guidelines and Nigerian university standards is highly desirable.
