Federal University Lafia is inviting suitably qualified academic leaders to apply for the prestigious position of Professor of Internal Medicine within our esteemed Faculty of Clinical Sciences. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals by delivering world-class instruction, driving impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of medical practitioners in a vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Internal Medicine within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and examine undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects, including Master and PhD degrees.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and contribute significantly to academic publications.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and community service initiatives.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or be eligible for promotion to Professor in Internal Medicine.
- A minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with sixteen (16) in print, including at least four (4) in three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Valid medical registration and relevant clinical certifications in Nigeria.
