We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished academic leader to fill the position of Professor of Human Physiology within our esteemed College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional academic and administrative leadership for the Department of Human Physiology.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students within the College of Medicine.
- Design, spearhead, and publish high-impact research in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Facilitate curriculum development and review to align with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and global best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster research grants, partnerships, and community development initiatives.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees as assigned by university management.
- Must possess a PhD in Human Physiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and academic leadership experience.
- A robust and substantial portfolio of publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Demonstrated track record of successful postgraduate teaching and thesis supervision at Master and PhD levels.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching methodologies, modern learning management systems, and academic software.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence where applicable.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills aligned with the Christian values of the institution.
