Located in Benin City, Edo State, our institution is expanding its academic leadership and invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Professor of Economics within the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership for the Department of Economics.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics using modern instructional methodologies and technology.
- Supervise postgraduate student research theses at both Master's and PhD levels.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Facilitate curriculum development, departmental growth, and academic mentorship for junior faculty and students.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university vision.
- Must possess a PhD in Economics from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated academic leadership with a substantial record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Proven track record in postgraduate teaching, supervision, and curriculum design.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern teaching and research.
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with high moral standards.
