Located in Benin City, Edo State, our institution is expanding its academic capacity and invites suitably qualified academics to apply for the position of Professor in Histopathology and Cytology within the College of Medical Laboratory Science. As a Professor, you will provide exceptional academic leadership, drive innovative research, and mentor the next generation of medical laboratory scientists in a faith-based environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary academic leadership in teaching, curriculum development, and research within the Department of Histopathology and Cytology.
- Deliver engaging lectures, conduct practical laboratory sessions, and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations at master's and doctoral levels.
- Publish high-impact research papers in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administration, and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain current professional standards and foster linkages with industry partners and professional bodies.
- Must possess a PhD in Histopathology, Cytology, or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership and substantial peer-reviewed publications.
- Extensive experience in postgraduate student supervision and curriculum design.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern teaching and research delivery.
- Hold relevant current professional registrations and possess a valid practicing license where applicable.
