Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic scholars for the prestigious position of Professor of Fine Arts within our esteemed Faculty of Environmental Design. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to advancing quality higher education, fostering innovative research, and nurturing the next generation of creative professionals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Fine Arts.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Masters and PhD candidates.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish impactful scholarly works in reputable local and international journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the expansion of academic programmes within the Faculty of Environmental Design.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and community development initiatives.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or be exceptionally qualified for promotion to the professorial cadre.
- Possess a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with at least sixteen (16) in print.
- Out of the printed publications, at least four (4) must be featured in three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrate verifiable evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree to completion.
- Exemplary track record in teaching, academic leadership, and professional practice in Fine Arts.
