About the Role

Nile University of Nigeria, a leading private multidisciplinary institution in Abuja and a proud member of Honoris United Universities, is seeking a distinguished Professor of Estate Management to join its Faculty of Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department and play a key role in delivering academic excellence, mentoring students, and advancing scholarly research that generates both knowledge and institutional impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
  • Develop and update curricula and course materials suitable for multiple learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with fellow academics to enhance teaching methodologies and expand departmental knowledge.
  • Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Conduct rigorous research, and produce papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
  • Represent the university at academic meetings, conferences, and events locally and internationally.
  • Participate actively in institutional training programmes and initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students and colleagues.
  • Stay abreast of developments in Estate Management through continuous research and publication.

Qualifications
  • Must hold the rank of Reader with a Ph.D. in Estate Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 12 years' demonstrable experience in university teaching, research, and administration.
  • Strong record of publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proven experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Active affiliation with a recognised professional body.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
