About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the prestigious position of Professor of Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to advancing quality university education, impactful research, and exceptional healthcare training in Nigeria. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals, driving groundbreaking research, and providing specialized clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainees.
- Supervise graduate students to the successful completion of their Master's and PhD degrees.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local and international index journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and community engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with teaching hospitals to deliver specialized ENT clinical care and services.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or be an established academic ready for progression with equivalent stature.
- Possess a robust publication record comprising at least twenty (20) publications, with sixteen (16) in print.
- Must have at least four (4) publications featured in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Master's degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Possession of relevant medical degrees, professional fellowship qualifications, and current practicing licenses.
