Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Faculty of Computing, specifically in Data Science.
- Design, update, and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum in Data Science and related computing disciplines.
- Conduct high-impact research, secure research grants, and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, including Master's theses and PhD dissertations.
- Foster strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders and academic institutions to enhance practical learning and research opportunities.
- Contribute to departmental administration, faculty committees, and overall institutional growth.
- Must possess a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership and a substantial portfolio of publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Extensive experience in postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and curriculum development.
- Must be proficient in ICT, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to ethical standards.
- Current professional registration and valid practicing licenses where applicable will be an added advantage.
