Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the prestigious position of Professor of Cyber Security within the Faculty of Computing. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering cutting-edge research in Nigeria. We are seeking a visionary scholar who will provide academic leadership, shape the cyber security curriculum, and contribute significantly to the university's growing reputation as a hub of technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum development within the Department of Cyber Security.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, including Masters and PhD candidates.
- Publish high-impact research in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions to advance cyber security initiatives.
- Participate in administrative duties, departmental governance, and university-wide committees as assigned.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Cyber Security or a closely related computing discipline.
- Must possess a robust publication record of at least 20 academic publications, with 16 in print.
- Must have at least 4 publications in distinct, regularly published foreign indexed journals.
- Must provide verifiable evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree to completion.
