In this role, you will champion cutting-edge research, shape the curriculum, and provide robust academic leadership within our rapidly growing computing department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exemplary academic leadership in teaching, research, and community service within the Cyber Security department.
- Develop, update, and implement innovative curriculum content aligned with global industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and PhD) research students.
- Publish high-impact scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Secure research grants and foster collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders and international academic institutions.
- Mentor junior faculty members and participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees.
- Must possess a PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership and a substantial portfolio of publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Extensive experience in postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and curriculum development.
- Must be proficient in ICT and modern digital pedagogical tools.
- Current professional registration and active practicing licences with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
