Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academic leaders for the position of Professor in the Department of Biochemistry. Key Responsibilities- Provide exemplary academic leadership in teaching, research, and community service within the Department of Biochemistry.
- Design, update, and deliver comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in accordance with NUC standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects as well as postgraduate students at both Masters and PhD levels to successful completion.
- Publish cutting-edge research in reputable peer-reviewed local and international index journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and institutional development initiatives.
- Secure research grants and foster collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders and global academic institutions.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Biochemistry or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Possess a robust academic portfolio comprising at least twenty (20) scholarly publications, with sixteen (16) in print.
- Must have at least four (4) publications featured in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree to completion.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of academic administration.
