Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and accomplished academics for the position of Professor in the Faculty of Education, specifically within Arts and Social Science Education. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality university education and fostering cutting-erge research in Nasarawa State and beyond. As a Professor, you will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and community service within the Faculty of Education.

• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate advanced learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Arts and Social Science Education.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, including Masters and PhD theses.
• Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local and international journals.
• Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, and quality assurance within the department and faculty.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees to support institutional growth.
• Engage in community service and academic outreach initiatives representing the university.

Candidates must meet the rigorous academic standards required for a professorial chair in a Nigerian federal university.

• Must currently hold the rank of Professor or be an exceptionally qualified Reader ready for promotion.
• Possess a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with at least sixteen (16) in print.
• Out of the printed publications, at least four (4) must be published in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign indexed journals.
• Provide concrete evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
• Demonstrate extensive teaching experience and academic leadership in a recognized tertiary institution.
