Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and accomplished academics for the position of Professor in the Faculty of Environmental Design. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to advancing quality university education, impactful research, and community development in Nigeria. As a Professor of Architecture, you will provide visionary academic leadership, mentor the next generation of architects, and drive innovative curriculum development within a vibrant campus environment located in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Architecture and the Faculty of Environmental Design.
- Teach, mentor, and evaluate undergraduate and postgraduate students in architecture and related disciplines.
- Supervise postgraduate research students, including Masters and PhD candidates, to successful completion.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local and international indexed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum design, departmental development, and university-wide committees to enhance academic standards.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or be a senior Associate Professor ready for advancement.
- Possess a robust academic portfolio with at least twenty (20) scholarly publications, including sixteen (16) in print.
- Demonstrate that at least four (4) publications are featured in a minimum of three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Provide verifiable evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Possess a terminal degree and relevant professional registrations in Architecture.
