Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and accomplished academics for the position of Professor in Anaesthesia within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of medicine by leading groundbreaking research, mentoring postgraduate scholars, and delivering exceptional instruction in our esteemed College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Anaesthesia within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and examine undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise postgraduate students to the successful completion of Masters and PhD degrees.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable local and international journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental administration.
- Engage in clinical services and community health initiatives as required by the university and teaching hospital.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or demonstrate equivalent academic standing.
- Possess a robust research portfolio comprising at least 20 academic publications.
- Must have 16 publications in print, including a minimum of 4 papers published in at least 3 different and regularly published foreign index journals.
- Provide verifiable evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Hold relevant medical degrees and professional certifications in Anaesthesia with current practicing license.
