We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Professor of Advertising to join our esteemed Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our Benin City campus in Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Advertising.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Advertising and related disciplines using modern ICT-driven pedagogies.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, including PhD theses.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish extensively in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Facilitate curriculum development and academic program reviews in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to faculty development initiatives.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement activities on behalf of the university.
- Must possess a PhD in Advertising or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership and substantial publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Extensive experience in postgraduate teaching, mentorship, and thesis supervision.
- Proficiency in ICT and modern digital teaching methods.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Current professional registration and valid practicing licence where applicable.
