About the Role
GBfoods, a global leader in FMCG and culinary products with renowned brands like Gino and Jumbo, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Production Shift Supervisor to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that our high-quality food products are produced safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Receive daily job orders from the Production Manager and ensure monthly production targets are met efficiently.
- Act as the SAP Key User to manage material requisitions, daily production postings, stock level monitoring, and COGI resolution.
- Monitor raw and packaging materials daily to prevent outages, wastages, and ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Enforce strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimize equipment OEE, analyze breakdowns, and ensure rapid response times.
- Supervise staff organization, determine shift assignments, and foster team development and capability-building initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly department reports and lead daily operational meetings.
- HND or BSc in Operations Management, Production Management, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive supervisory experience within a food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, specifically SAP.
- Deep technical knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, root-cause analysis, statistical process control, and food plant safety.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
