About the Role
May & Baker Nigeria Plc, Nigeria's premier pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled and proactive Production Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Ikeja, Lagos. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations, working closely with the production process team to achieve high output and efficiency targets while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily pharmaceutical manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to established safety, quality, and output targets.
- Ensure all production processes comply strictly with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), WHO standards, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance and process teams to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, equipment logs, and production reports in compliance with company policies.
- Participate in equipment validation, process optimization, and routine maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and operational excellence within the factory floor.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing license with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production operations.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
