About the Role
Petromech Engineering United Limited is a leading Kaduna-based waste management and engineering company specializing in the production of high-quality base oils and engine oils from used lubricants. We operate an advanced facility equipped to handle complex industrial processes and are currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our dynamic refining team.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor production equipment including vacuum distillation units, industrial fuel burners, and oil filtration systems following approved standard operating procedures.
- Conduct oil bleaching, chemical treatment, and filtration activities while ensuring the safe handling of all processing materials and adsorbents.
- Support lubricant blending operations in strict accordance with approved company formulations and production instructions.
- Perform accurate product filling, weighing, sealing, labelling, and packaging to maintain high presentation and quality standards.
- Monitor process conditions, collect routine samples for laboratory quality checks, and maintain accurate records of material consumption and output.
- Identify equipment faults, leaks, or abnormal readings promptly and assist the maintenance team with routine equipment checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace while strictly adhering to all company PPE, fire prevention, and spill control policies.
- Relevant hands-on industrial experience in waste oil recycling, petroleum refining, lubricant production, or a similar chemical processing environment.
- Demonstrable practical expertise in vacuum distillation, industrial burner operations, or oil treatment processes.
- Relevant technical qualifications or vocational training in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering fields will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, high reliability, punctuality, and a disciplined approach to workplace safety.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively alongside production, laboratory, and maintenance teams in a fast-paced setting.
