About the Role
StyledByLayo, a premier womenswear fashion brand renowned for bespoke, high-end designs, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our creative workshop in Lagos, Nigeria. Our garments combine exquisite craftsmanship with elegance, exuding confidence, class, and individuality for high-profile events and media personalities. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our production floor, bridging the gap between creative vision and flawless garment execution.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the entire production lifecycle from pattern making and cutting to final quality control and packaging.
- Manage and mentor a skilled team of tailors, seamstresses, and artisans to ensure timely delivery of bespoke orders.
- Coordinate inventory management for fabrics, accessories, and production supplies to prevent bottlenecks.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards reflecting the luxury positioning of the StyledByLayo brand.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to translate seasonal collections and custom client requests into actionable production schedules.
- Optimize workshop workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining our signature high-end finish.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role within the Nigerian fashion or garment manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, textiles, grading, and bespoke tailoring techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Degree or certification in Fashion Design, Production Management, or a related field is an added advantage.
