About the Role
Nutri K Limited is dedicated to the fight against malnutrition in Nigeria, specializing in the manufacturing of vital nutritional foods used for the care of children affected by malnutrition. To strengthen our growing operations in Kano, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Operator to join our dynamic Production Department and contribute to our mission-driven manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production machinery and equipment strictly according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execute assigned production tasks including mixing, filling, packaging, and labelling as per daily production plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP.
- Perform routine checks on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or operational deviations immediately.
- Monitor ongoing product quality during production and promptly report any non-conformities to the supervisor.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization across workstations, tools, and general production areas.
- Accurately record production data such as quantities produced, downtime, and material wastage.
- Assist in setting up, adjusting, and changing over production lines for different product batches.
- Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and regulations at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively within the production unit.
- Minimum of an SSCE or a Diploma in a science-related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a production or industrial operations environment.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production will be a distinct advantage.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene principles, GMP, and workplace safety rules.
- Strong ability to follow detailed work instructions and SOPs accurately.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in shifts, on weekends, and overtime as required by operational demands.
- Good verbal communication skills in English with basic production documentation abilities.
