About the Role
African Naturalistas, Nigeria's foremost natural hair brand, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of our popular natural hair products, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee production from raw material weighing and preparation through mixing, filling, packaging, and finished product transfer.
- Ensure strict adherence to approved formulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Supervise production assistants, manage task allocation, and maintain a safe, hygienic work environment.
- Complete accurate Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), track material reconciliation, and monitor production yields.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to resolve deviations, operate equipment, and minimize operational downtime.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience within the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in cosmetic production processes including weighing, mixing, emulsification, and packaging.
- Strong proficiency in GMP, sanitation standards, documentation, and basic computer applications like Microsoft Excel.
- Must reside within commuting distance of the Lekki-Ajah-Sangotedo axis in Lagos.
