About the Role
Reliable Steel and Plastic Industries Limited is seeking an experienced, highly driven, and results-oriented Production Manager to lead and manage our dynamic production operations in Onitsha, Anambra State. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-onal manufacturing professional with strong leadership ability and proven experience in managing production teams, achieving production targets, improving efficiency, and reducing operational losses within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for daily production activities to ensure seamless plant operations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to ensure targets are achieved efficiently and on schedule.
- Supervise Production Superintendents, Supervisors, and other plant personnel to foster high performance.
- Monitor machine utilization, production output, downtime, and overall operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement measures to reduce production losses, material wastage, and unnecessary equipment downtime.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality Control, and Stores departments to ensure uninterrupted workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, product quality, and operational performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Prepare and review detailed production reports to make informed, data-driven recommendations to Management.
- B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven senior leadership tenure.
- Strong practical knowledge of factory operations, process optimization, and resource allocation.
- Hands-on experience in plastic manufacturing, injection moulding, and hydraulic extrusion blow moulding operations will be a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large production teams and consistently achieve demanding performance targets.
