About the Role
Carew Couture, a leading Nigerian fashion brand renowned for creating exquisite, elegant clothing since 2013, is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Officer to join our dynamic production team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in upholding our commitment to high-end fashion by ensuring every piece leaving our atelier meets our rigorous standards of excellence, style, and precision.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect finished and semi-finished garments thoroughly to verify correct measurements, accurate designs, and impeccable stitching
- Examine fabric quality, material integrity, and overall garment neatness against established brand guidelines
- Identify production faults, stitching errors, and design inconsistencies promptly
- Communicate defect findings effectively to the production team and ensure necessary corrections are made prior to client delivery
- Maintain detailed inspection logs and quality reports to track recurring production issues
- Exercise the confidence and authority to halt production lines immediately when quality standards are compromised
- Proven experience in garment construction, tailoring, or textile quality assurance within the Nigerian fashion industry
- Exceptional attention to detail with a sharp eye for precision in stitching, symmetry, and fabric finishing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate feedback to tailors and artisans clearly
- Good organizational abilities to manage multiple garment inspections efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for digital record-keeping and reporting
- Confidence and professionalism to enforce quality control protocols and stop production when necessary
